Business Resources
The Burke County Chamber of Commerce works closely with
the Small Business Center located at Western Piedmont Community College.
Individuals interested in starting their own business are referred
directly to the Small Business Center for assistance. WPCC and the
Chamber often co-sponsor seminars that are designed to assist
entrepreneurs with hands on experience in every aspect of business.
Industrial developers are referred directly to the offices of the Burke
Partnership for Economic Development for assistance. This organization
is funded by local government which often provides incentives for new
industry to locate in the county.
